My name is Krysta, or Kas for short. I've been passionate about dogs and dog behavior all my life. I've had many years of experience training and rescuing dogs. Currently, I hold a Master of Science in Animal Health and Behavior, though I dabbled in veterinary medicine field with thoughts of applying for a DVM, I found my heart pulled me towards dog psychology and behavior. I served in the US Coast Guard both active duty and reserves as a Response Ashore Officer until I landed in Washington and decided I wanted to settle in with my two young children and pursue my passion for working with canines. I spent the last year contracting as a trainer with one of Spokane's most popular dog training companies, but decided to branch out so that I can apply all I've learned with different methods of dog training over the years in my diverse professional, volunteer and educational experience. Dog behavior is much more complex then most realize and there is no one size fits all approach to training. I take pride in evaluating each dog's backgrounds, needs and challenges to approach training in a multi-method approach to achieve the ultimate goals for each individual dog and their owners.

Dog training comes down to a trusted partnership between human and canine companion with established and appropriate hierarchy based on dog psychology.

Not all dogs are the same. Though we start from a common base of basic dog psychology to establish obedience, there is so much more to training from breed behaviors, individual backgrounds and experiences. Plus, don't forget to factor in all those unique personalities!
